Shankara Digvijayam DVD Release

The Gayathri Fine Arts, Rohini, Delhi, in collaboration with the India International Centre today held a cultural programme to pay tributes to Former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru whose birthday coincided with children's day on 14th November.

Disciples of senior Delhi musician Smt. Vasanthi Krishnarao presented Vocal recital. Disciples of Delhi R. Sridhar gave a melodious Violin ensemble accompanied by Shri. Shankararaman - Mridungam and Shri. P. Adhityanarayanan - Kanjira, son and Disciple of famous Mridungist Kumbakonam Shri. N. Padmanabhan. 

The Gayathri Fine Arts also released a DVD of Shankara Digvijayam - Musical Discourse on the Traditional Life of Adi Shankaracharya by Lalitaa Veena Shiromani Achrya Shri.  L.Ramshesh Vishwanath  (Discource),

"Bal Puruskar - Outstanding Young Artist"

The Wizz kids have done it again! Akshayaa and Amrutaa made a splendid performance with Swami Vivekanand's masterpiece "Kali The Mother" on the eve of Children's day.  They were awarded with "Bal Puruskar - Outstanding Young Artist" by the eminent film director Shri. Neel Madhab Panda of "I Am Kalam" fame. The award has been instituted from this year by Parmaarth Foundation - a Delhi - based NGO doing pioneering work in promoting arts, cultural and spiritually.

This rendition of the Lalitha Sahasranama Parayana Krama is composed and set to ten major Ragas of Carnatic Classical Music by Srividya Guru His Holiness Shri Shri Vimarshananda Nathendra Saraswati Swamiji Maharaj.

Swamiji has taught this Musical Sahasranama to Bhanumathy Vishwanath through oral tradition (Karna Parampara) over a sustained period of time.

We are dedicating this Lalitha Sahasranama on the auspicious day of Naraka Chaturdashi and Kali Pooja on 10^th November, 2015 for the benefit of Humanity as ordained by our Pujya Guru Maharaj. 

 

Bhanumathy Vishwanath

Bhanumathy Vishwanath, who is a Srividya initiate at the Lotus Feet of Poojya Swamiji, is a disciple of Carnatic Classical Music under Padma Vibhushan Sangeeta Kalanidhi late Smt. D.K. Pattammal.

Bhanumathy has been Honoured as Asthana Sangeeta Vidushi (Official Songstress) of the Jagadguru Badari Shankarcharya Samasthanam Shakatapuram Shrividya Peetham Headed by His Holiness Shri Shri Krishnananda Teertha Mahaswamiji.

Bhanumathy has also been conferred with Sangeeta Kovidha by Gayathri Fine Arts, Rohini, Delhi and Shri Ramswamy Memorial Award for Excellence in rendering Muthuswamy Dikshitar Kritis.

The Srividya Pratishthanam, Kodingallur, Kerala has bestowed the title of Sangeeta Ratna on Bhanumathy.
