The Directorate of Culture, Tourism and Sports, Government of Jharkhand in collaboration with Saraswati Sangeet Sadhna Kendra, Ranchi and Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh organised a five day workshop and cultural extravaganza at the Audrey House, Ranchi on 7th May, 2016. Apart from many young local talents, the organisers brought in budding performing artists and seasoned performers from outside.
A unique Musical Fusion stole the show with child prodigy Kumari Akshayaa Vibho, disciple of Pandit Sitangshu Chaudhary of the Rampur Sehaswan Gharana. She was supported by Pandit ji himself on the Harmonium and Ustaad Akhtar Hasan on the Tabla. Her rendering of Vilambit Ektal, Madhya Laya Teen Taal and Tarana was enriching experience of the Raga Purya Kalyan. The audience was in ecstasy.
There was a solo recital on the Drums by the Youngest Female Drummer, Kumari Amrutaa Vibho, who rocked the audience with her drums and intricate Layakari of Carnatic music patterns learnt under Kumbokonam Shri N. Padmanabhan. Amrutaa is under training of Casio Brand Ambassador Shri Ranjeet Ahuja of Delhi and pursuing course in drums from the Trinity College, London.
This was followed by Lalitha Veena recital by Acharyaa L. Ramshesh Vishwanath, disciple of Shehnai Nawaz Bharat Ratna late Ustaad Bismillah Khan Sahib.
There was a unique Fusion popularly known as ‘Lalitaa Laya Sangam’, consisting of Carnatic Rhythm on the Drums by Kumari Amrutaa Vibho, Hindustani Rhythm on the Tabla by Ustaad Akhtar Hasan, Western Melody on the Keyboard by Kumari Akshayaa Vibho led by Acharyaa L. Ramshesh Vishwanath on the Lalitaa Veena.
